The League for Clubs; Carsley for England
There's a new soccer league starting up for lower tier soccer in the US, and Orange County SC are looking for part owners. But, you can bypass all that and pretend to be the new England boss.
New U.S. Amateur Soccer League to Empower Clubs Through Ownership
A visionary new league for amateur soccer in the United States is being launched, aiming to revolutionize the landscape with a focus on club ownership and shared success.
Dubbed "The League," this summer amateur league will kick off in May 2025, offering an alternative model where clubs aren't just participants but active stakeholders in the organization's growth.
Forged through a partnership between WPSL ownership and men's clubs seeking a new path, The League is affiliated with USASA and will provide standard benefits like insurance and a path to the US Open Cup.
A key differentiator of The League is its commitment to revenue sharing and ownership credits for member teams. These credits can convert into equity in the event of a merger or acquisition, ensuring clubs directly profit from the league's success.
The League plans to distribute 20% of net income back to teams based on a formula that rewards longevity. Additionally, in the event of a sale, member teams would collectively receive 51% of net proceeds.
This innovative structure aims to create a more sustainable and equitable model for amateur soccer, fostering a sense of shared ownership and long-term growth for participating clubs. The League's inaugural season is slated to conclude with a national championship in early August 2025.

Seems to be the new England way - let somebody look after things while courting other options until everyone realizes he’s doing alright so put him on a rolling contract and he goes and wins the World Cup.

Quote of the Day
“It rains a lot in Manchester, but I don't care. I’m here to do my job, I’m a footballer. No matter the temperature outside, I wanna be on the pitch [...] Kovacic is like my father, he's always there for me. I live alone & I’m single.”
