Barça Kitchen: From Tiki-Taka to Take-Out
KFC Barcelona? Garnachos? Declan Rice? Sebastien Fries? Tony Currie? Mo Salad? Sander Burger? Danny Drinkwater? Your guys took one hell of an eating!
Pennies might be tight at the Spotify Camp Nou, and on the face of it, starting a food delivery service doesn’t seem like the worst idea for revenue diversification we’ve heard, but in Mexico?
FC Barcelona is venturing into the food delivery sector with the creation of Barça Kitchen, the first on-demand cuisine service with a Barça twist. The project is being launched in partnership with Rappi, the leading home delivery company in Latin America and the Official Delivery Partner of FC Barcelona.
The Rappi app now features a menu inspired by the FC Barcelona universe, available any day of the week, and of course, at special times like match days. The options include the 125th Anniversary Burger, the Masia Chicken Sandwich, and Barça Nachos, with the possibility of adding a Catalan touch with some allioli sauce, which isn't usually available in Latin America.

Fantastic, but it’s positively pedestrian in comparison to Argentinian soccer going all-in on crypto, NFTs, and bitcoin mining as the peso plunges and inflation soars to 211%. Or Hamburg HSV hosting funeral services, and Boca Juniors hosting wedding services - both available in club colors. HSV even have their own cemetery with a goal-shaped entrance for a paltry $120K (that can be paid in installments, obviously).
Although, if you fancy being shot off this mortal coil as opposed to merely shuffling off it, Real Madrid supposedly has a partnership that allows the deceased an array of packages ranging from popping into space before returning, being sent into orbit, blasted onto the moon’s surface, or launched into deep space. Plus, their physical trainer, Antonio Pintus, is lending NASA a hand with the Artemis moon program.
But, it seems the best opportunity for diversifying and adding revenue is stadium naming deals, according to the 2024 European Stadium Naming Rights Report:
Barça Kitchen might be a tasty addition to the team's offerings, but it's clear that naming rights are a gold mine for clubs that have yet to fully tap their potential.

“I came to England at 35, I wanted to prove my doubters wrong. I want to make my own history. I was not interested in listening to the Class of 92. Yes, that brings pressure to live up to what they were used to. That doesn’t help me, I'm not a Man United fan.” - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
